A quick note about our 2027 Symposium: Due to an unexpected change in venue availability, we are currently working to secure a new location. While our exact dates and venue have not yet been confirmed, the Symposium will take place on a Thursday and Friday in early March or April 2027, in the Lower Mainland. We appreciate your flexibility and will share the confirmed details as soon as they become available.

The BC Society of Laboratory Science (BCSLS) is excited to invite dynamic, engaging speakers to present at our 2027 Pre and Post Analytical Symposium. It is taking place on 2027 at KPU in xxx, BC. This highly anticipated event will gather laboratory professionals, educators, and leaders from across the province.
Our 2027 theme, “The Future Is Now – Basics and Beyond!”, focuses on strengthening the essential skills that form the foundation of our profession while exploring emerging technologies, evolving practices, and innovations shaping the future of laboratory medicine.
Important Dates – 2027 BCSLS Symposium
November 5, 2026 - Abstract submissions open
December 5, 2026 - Abstract submission deadline
December 15, 2026 - Committee review and final approval
January 5, 2027 - deadline for speakers to confirm participation
Presentation Formats:
Short Session: 20/25-minute talk + 5/10-minute Q&A
Standard Session: 50-minute talk + 10-minute Q&A
(Note: All sessions must be delivered in person. Remote submissions are not accepted.)
